DESCRIPTION:<p>As announced at Diocesan Convention\, the Provincial Affilia
 tion Task Force has scheduled a meeting in every Deanery for the purpose o
 f making a presentation on Provincial Affiliation.&nbsp\; These gatherings
  are for clergy\, convention deputies\, alternates and vestry members. The
  presumption is that in most cases\, these presentations will then enable 
 each parish and mission to have its own conversation\, using the resources

 hnson is a writer\, speaker and spiritual director. She has a degree in Ch
 ristian education and has been trained in Ignatian Spirituality &amp\; Spi
 ritual Direction. She has written seventeen books\, including <em>Enjoying
  the Presence of God</em> and <em>When the Soul Listens</em>\, and many ma
 gazine articles.&nbsp\; Jan spoke at the DOK Province IV Fall Retreat at K
 anuga in 2007 and lives in Simi Valley\, California.<br /><br />Our DOK Th
 eme for this year is 'Being Like Christ in the Kingdom of God'.&nbsp\; Jan
  Johnson believes it is important 'to build an interactive life with God.&
 nbsp\; Instead of trying to be good\, we connect with God in order to let 
 God transform us into Christlikeness. As we do the connecting with God\, G
 od does the perfecting in us.'<br /><br />Jan's teachings at DOK Spring Re
 treat will be about the way God's love transforms us to becoming like Chri
 st in the Kingdom of God. The theme for her talks will be Extreme Makeover
