The Area Bishop for the Horn of Africa (a part of the Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa) invites applications for the position of Dean of St Frumentius' Anglican Theological College, Gambella Ethiopia. The applicant must possess a Masters degree in theology. It would be helpful if the candidate was an ordained Anglican with a love for and knowledge of Africa. Gambella is hot, remote, underdeveloped and somewhat unstable. Salary will have to be raised by the candidate, but a house is provided. The Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul is looking for a Ministry Assistant for Administration to help us realize our vision of Being the Heart of God for the Heart of Charleston.  This high-capacity person serves as the primary receptionist for the church, often representing the Cathedral as the first point of contact via the phone, email or in the office. He or she supports the ministries and personnel of the church through the use of communication, organization and task-management systems. The Ministry Assistant for Administration aids the church staff, Vestry and congregation by organizing and producing documents, maintaining office supplies, coordinating facilities usage, keeping organizational records and data, coordinating volunteers, and updating the church calendar.

Youth Ministry Intern, St Luke’s Church, Hilton Head Island
St. Luke’s, Hilton Head is looking for a candidate who has a heart for Christ and a desire to make Christ known to high school and middle school students.   St Luke’s has an active youth ministry program that includes separate youth nights for middle and high school students. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working or volunteering in youth ministry in college or post college, an ability to plan and lead a Bible Study and an ability to lead and utilize volunteers. Sous Chef, St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center, Seabrook Island
The Kitchen of St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center is looking for a Sous Chef to join their experienced team of food service professionals. They are looking for a teachable spirit more than kitchen experience. Their full time, year round food service ministry has unique needs, so they seek someone willing to grow with them ~ in preparation for increased leadership opportunities in the future.  They welcome applications from recent, and enthusiastic, culinary school graduates.
This salaried position will work with the Executive Chef on the afternoon/evening team. Hours for this team are approximately 12 noon - 8pm five days per week, including weekends, for a total of 40 hours per week.  Schedules are made about a week in advance and are based on the needs of our guests. We are open year round, seven days a week. Weekend shifts are part of the schedule. Pay days are every two weeks. Salary and benefits are competitive for this starting position.

Laity Part-Time Positions

Organist/Choir Director, Trinity Episcopal Church, Moncks Corner/Pinopolis
Become a vital part of a church with a strong musical tradition and a welcoming congregation.  Provide traditional music for a 10:00 Sunday service with about 80-90 parishioners attending. Trinity offers a blended service so coordinating with the Praise Band’s director will be part of the job.  Also provide music for one evening service on Christmas Eve and two services during Holy Week.  An hour weeknight choir practice with 10-12 choir members is required as well as availability for weddings and funerals.  On the average, working five to six hours per week should be expected.  Our instruments include an Allen Renaissance organ and a Yamaha GC2 piano (only 2 years old). Part-time Organist and Choir Director, Holy Cross Daniel Island:
Holy Cross is seeking a part-time organist, 10-15 hours per week, to help lead the worship music at two of our three weekly services. A traditional, Rite One service with communion, and a Children’s Family service (a lively, 30 minute service with kids hymns and songs played on the organ). This person should be proficient on the organ, and able to develop and direct a choir for children and for adults. As they will be expected to help people not only grow as musicians, but also as disciples, they should be a baptized Christian believer who is actively seeking to live out their faith as a follower and disciple of Jesus. They should also be sympathetic to the Anglican denomination, and the Diocese of South Carolina. Finally, we are looking for someone who wants to become a part of our church community here at Holy Cross on Daniel Island, and who does not see this simply as a place where they work.

Responsibilities will include:
- Playing weekly at our 9:30am Children's Family Service - Playing weekly at our 11:00am Traditional Rite One Service of Holy Eucharist
- Playing at special services at Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week and Easter etc.
- Playing for funerals and weddings when available (these are very occasional)
- Beginning a Children's Choir to sing monthly at 11am service (choral music, not kids songs)
- Beginning an Adult Choir to sing weekly at our 11am service
- helping organize classical concerts to be held in the church two or three times each year

Initially you will work under the musical direction of the Director of Traditional Music Ministries at Holy Cross, Ann Hood, and report regularly to the Campus Pastor at Daniel Island, the Rev. Jonathan Bennett.

Remuneration will be $15,000 to $20,000 per year, depending on experience, and you will have 4 paid weeks of vacation each year, including 4 Sundays off (excluding Easter).
