Church Pension Fund
Alternative Pension Plan PDF Print E-mail
To all Priests in the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of South Carolina:

As you are now aware, we are no longer affiliated with The Episcopal Church (TEC). As a result of our disaffiliation there could be changes in the Pension/Retirement Benefits available to priests in this diocese. If a priest’s relationship with TEC changes, contributions to the Church Pension Fund (CPF) on the priest’s behalf may no longer be made.  Vested benefits would not be impacted by a relationship change.

Church Pension Fund PDF Print E-mail

The Church Pension Fund provides pension and related benefits to Episcopal clergy, their eligible surviving spouses and adult beneficiaries and dependent children. With this 'defined benefit' plan, retirement benefits are determined at the time of retirement, based on compensation and years of service, and they are assured for the duration of retirement.
