Praying With St. Paul - Retreat (8:00 AM)
Praying with St. Paul
May 15-17

The newly established Prayer Center at St. Christopher Camp & Conference Center announces it’s inaugural retreat entitled “Praying with St. Paul” to be led by the Rev. Dr. Russ Parker.

Every steadfast follower of Christ, at one time or another, has marveled at the faith and passion of the Apostle Paul. Like many, perhaps you too have prayed... “Lord, give me faith like Paul.” Paul faced obstacles and challenges in his life and ministry that most of us will never come close to. Amazingly, in his response to difficult circumstances, his faith never wavered. He never lost perspective or hope.

When the Apostle Paul wrote his letters to the emerging churches he included some great prayers which give us an inside look at the passions of his heart and the power of God at work in his life. He was writing in order to encourage the churches to stand fast against the hostilities which threatened their existence and to keep true to their calling to be the beating heart of Jesus in a broken world. We live in such threatening times to our Christian faith and so this Retreat is an opportunity to renew our passion for God and for His church through which God desires to transform the world into the image of Christ.

We invite you to join us as The Rev. Dr. Russ Parker leads us through the great prayers of the Apostle Paul and lays out Paul’s priorities for personal growth, for church growth and for the mission of the church. Perhaps now more than ever, we all need to be reminded that even in the face of the most discouraging circumstances, whether it be in your personal life or the corporate life of the church, we are more than conquerors through Christ.

Rest, Restoration and Renewal

In addition to the teaching sessions, if weather permits, we will offer a group kayaking trip on Thursday afternoon for an additional fee per person. Not up for boating? We have a mile stretch of beach and 300 acres of maritime forest with hiking trails to explore. The Prayer Center will also offer soaking prayer sessions throughout the retreat as well as individual prayer ministry by appointment.

Come enjoy great food, anointed teaching and fun fellowship all in the beauty of God’s creation at St. Christopher!
