Fight For Others: Stop Sex Slavery

At 1 p.m. on June 8 there will be a presentation about sex trafficking and how you can help. The focus of this presentation is to convey information about the realities of human sex slavery in Cambodia, the USA and India and how you can learn more and help. The 20 minute presentation will be given in the Education Center of the College of Charleston, Room 219.

In the summer of 2008 College of Charleston student and Marine Corps veteran Will Nugent conducted a fact finding mission to Thailand and Cambodia with the intention of learning first-hand about non-governmental and governmental organizations working on the issue of sex trafficking and human trafficking.

After spending the summer conducting this research he returned to the College of Charleston with the goal of letting people know how to help one of the most impressive, non-profit groups working on this issue, Transitions Global. ( Please come to this presentation if you are interested in learning about this organization or if you simply want to know more about human trafficking on the global level. This is a free, straight forward short presentation.

The education building is located on Saint Philip Street just past the CVS pharmacy heading towards Wentworth st. The entrance is opposite a parking garage and the student cafeteria.
