The Future of Your ChurchWhy are churches declining? What makes a church grow? What can be done to not only “stem the tide” but turn it around, transforming a declining parish into a vibrant, alive and growing one? Bishop Lawrence invites all clergy, vestry members and parish leaders to a day-long workshop sponsored by the Congregational Development Committee, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 at Church of the Redeemer in Orangeburg. Beginning with “reality-therapy” and what’s happening in the church today, the workshop, led by clergy and diocesan staff, will also focus on examining vision, changing your church’s DNA, looking at stewardship and mobilization. The workshop is free. Lunch will be provided. Call (803) 534-3794 to register. The Church of the Redeemer is at 1606 Russell Street in Orangeburg, SC.
