Thank you for your interest in the Jubilate Deo, the newspaper of the Diocese of South Carolina. The newspaper is mailed three times a year to 13,000 households. As an arm of the Diocese its content reflects the vision, mission and work of the Diocese. Articles should inspire, teach, educate or inform. News should be of interest to a large number of readers and be tied, in a clear way, to the Diocese.

Submitting Articles
At the top of each submission include:

Word Length:
We encourage brevity. Notices about upcoming events should be between 200-300 words. Feature articles should be no more than 1,000 words. Other than using paragraphs and subheads, do not format articles. Because we receive so many submissions, we are not able to publish every article. We reserve the right to edit for length and to make the article appropriate for a wide audience.
Articles are to be submitted by e-mail as Microsoft Word documents to both the editor, Joy Hunter at [email protected] and the assistant editor: the Rev. Canon Dr. Kendall S. Harmon at [email protected].
Submitting Photographs
All photographs must be submitted in color at high resolution as either JPEGs or TIFFs, (300 dpi at the size the photo will be printed). Please include, at the end of your article (as part of the word document) a descriptive caption, including the full names of those pictured (if under ten people) and the name of the photographer. Be creative with your photographs. Show action (praying, talking, laughing, singing) rather than sending an "everyone look here and say 'cheese,'" photograph.
