Clergy Conference 2013

Thursday, November 14 & Friday, November 15, 2013

All parochial clergy are encouraged to attend
(limited single rooms are available)

Clergy Couple Conference 2013
November 15 & 16, 2013

Conference Leaders: Jim and Acton Beard
Begins with dinner Friday evening, and concludes with a service of Holy Eucharist following Saturday’s lunch.
St. Christopher has offered to keep the beach open for extended time together in fellowship!

Logistics
4:00 pm Thursday, November 14 - Registration opens for Clergy
4:00 pm Friday, November 15 - Registration opens for Clergy Spouses
Program concludes after Holy Eucharist Saturday afternoon

Several clergy have inquired about how to come to St. Christopher without bringing two cars. Here are two suggestions:

1. Bring your spouse with you on Thursday! He or she might really enjoy a bit of alone time while you are meeting with the clergy. Your spouse can eat meals with you, and might enjoy some unscheduled time to enjoy St. Christopher, too! How do I add this additional feature to my registration on-line? When registering on-line, choose:

• The WHOLE PACKAGE, to cover your cost for Clergy+Spouse($225)
• IN ADDITION, choose COMMUTER rate($25) for Clergy Conference, and add your spouse’s name as your roommate. This will cover your spouse's meals on Thursday & Friday.( TOTAL of $250)

2. You and your spouse can carpool with another clergy couple - with the clergy traveling together and the spouses following up later in another car.

Costs:

Clergy Conference Only Pricing
  • Clergy Conference ONLY-single room and board - $125
  • Clergy Conference ONLY-double room and board - $75
  • Clergy Conference ONLY-commuter rate(meals only) - $25

Special Combined Conference Pricing
  • Clergy/Clergy Couple Conference, per couple - $225
  • Commuter rate, per couple - $75
Register now.

Please contact Beth Snyder, at (843) 722-4075 for further information.

Jesus Weekend 2015

The Jesus Weekend our most focused youth event, designed for 8th and 9th graders is coming up February 6-8. This event has had more impact on students’ lives than any other weekend we do.

The Jesus Weekend seeks to introduce students to the person and work of Christ in such a way that they are able to respond to his calling on their lives. The content of the weekend is the same each year and traditionally many churches choose to use it as part of their confirmation program. The teaching is all presented from the Gospel of Mark and we use material from Christianity Explored youth edition to do both the talks and small groups.

Students may register through their own church’s youth group. If your parish does not have a youth group contact Dave Wright at [email protected].

Christian Men’s Conference

"Jesus Our Legacy"
Speaker: Brad Bird of MarketLife Ministries

St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center
February 20-22, 2015

Register here (Be sure to register as a guest)..

Men: Mark your calendars for the 25th annual Christian Men’s Conference, at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center, February 20-22. Registration will open soon. We expect this conference will sell out even faster than last year's did, so once registration opens, sign up!

The 2015 conference will be headlined by guest speaker, Brad Bird of MarketLife Ministries. This event has been instrumental in many of our lives by building men’s ministry centered on our Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit worked mightily last year when Bishop Lawrence spoke.

Many lives have been touched as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit through the years of the Men’s Conference. Hearts have been softened, wounds healed, relationships mended all through the power of Christ working in our lives. This year’s event promises to be an exciting time for rest, renewal and hope with the focus of “Jesus our Legacy.” Join us and see how the Lord will use you in unexpected ways.

Costs for the Friday through Sunday event are: $195/Cabin, $255/Lodge. All meals are included. Scholarship funds are available. Spread the word and invite a friend. The conference is open to all men age 13 and up.

Register for the Men's Conference here (register as a guest).

Listen to the Talks from the 2013 Eternal Impact Conference

Paul and Phil DownerIn February, 2013, men throughout the Diocese were treated to the Eternal Impact weekend led by Phil and Paul Downer of DNA Ministries. Whether you were able to attend or not, the messages of Phil and Paul Downer are important for each of us to hear afresh or for the first time. We are making these available online for you to download and listen to again or for the first time. As God continues to use each one of us to make an Eternal Impact, these messages can serve to inspire and remind of us of what the Lord has done and is doing through His church, that's you and me.

We hope you will share the link to these audio files with men around you, in your church and in your lives, and that the messages will continue the work the Lord is doing in our midst. Enjoy.

You can find the messages here:
